Greatness is characterized by the willingness to sacrifice. John Maxwell, an American author wrote extensively on leadership. He points out that to become a great leader, there is a price to be paid. Most businesses fail to reach their maximum potential simply because they are not giving it their 100%. Blame it not on resources or time. As an entrepreneur, you must succeed bearing in mind that:
The price must be paid by everyone.
In order to succeed you must have the right people in your corner. This calls for team work. It’s all about each person’s contribution towards the success of a given task, appreciating and encouraging each other through out. It’s never about that one person in your group who knows everything. It’s about everyone contributing to their best ability for the ultimate success of the team. Two heads are better than one. So, if the team wins everybody wins.
The price never decreases.
It gets harder and more difficult but perseverance is needed for the long road to success. Many quit halfway, an unimagined result they didn’t consider when they began. Mindset and attitude towards a problem matters a great deal. Entrepreneurs should always work hard and uphold the virtue of hard work.
The price must be paid at all times.
Destination disease? Don’t succumb to it. Lots of people stop working hard after they have accomplished their goals. You have hit the seven-figure revenue from your business, so why keep trying too hard when it has already paid off? Set higher targets, improve yourself. Come up with new goals and chase them.
The price keeps changing.
To become a better person, you have to put in much effort. You have to reach out to that untapped potential that lies deep within you. Expand your networks, creating more time and being proactive. Entrepreneurs must be consistent and flexible because success does not come on a silver platter.
